About Our Staff
Jorge Cordero, M.S – Owner/President
Jorge is the President and Co-owner of Home Care Assistance of Naples and Fort Myers. His role is to ensure that HCA’s systems, vision, and strategies are customer-centric and always adapting to the changing needs of senior care.
Jorge brings over 15 years of IT experience, and over 18 years of management experience to oversee the day to day operations of the company. Jorge is actively involved in all aspects of the business.
He oversees caregiver quality assurance, case management, advertising, public relations as well as business development. His passion for elder care comes from a deep-rooted cultural tradition of honoring and respecting elders.
Monica Cordero, M.S.Ed – Owner\Director of Client Services
Monica is the Director of Client Care Services and Co-owner of Home Care Assistance Naples and Fort Myers. Monica’s passion for caregiving began, as it does for many, from personal experience. Monica realized the need for quality caregiving when she spent months in the hospital looking after her mother.
Monica uses her personal experience as well as her 15 years of teaching experience to guide her in providing the best care for our clients. She focuses on conducting in-depth client assessments and provides ongoing case management which includes weekly communications with clients and caregivers. Monica also enjoys educating the community on ways to improve the quality of life for older adults.
Renee King-Mathis – Employee Care Manager
Renee is the Employee Care Manager committed to caregiver development, retention, development and ensuring operations are compliant with local regulations and HCA standards.
Renee graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and can be throughout the office supporting all departments.
Renee really loves the positive energy and enjoys working with a team where we are committed to changing the way the world ages!
Melanie Gennari – Client Care Manager
Melanie is one of our Care Managers, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
Melanie was a practicing addictions counselor for many years before moving to Florida.
Personal family experiences led her to Home Care Assistance where she is committed to “changing the way the world ages” and enriching the lives of her clients.
Donna Marie Melendez – Staffing Coordinator
Donna Marie is our Staffing Coordinator for Collier County. She holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.
She has extensive experience in providing excellent service to clients. Donna Marie works hard to meet the needs of our clients as well as the caregivers.
Aaron Zimmerman – Executive Assistant
Aaron is our Executive Assistant and Office Administrator. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science. Aaron has years of experience in the business world. He recently relocated from the Chicagoland area to enjoy the Florida life.
Aaron enjoys being part of the team at Home Care Assistance of Naples and giving excellent support to staff, clients, and caregivers.
Melsys Fernandez – Recruiting/Staffing Coordinator
Melsys is a Recruiting and Staffing Coordinator.
She is originally from New York City. While in New York, she worked for both the private sector and local government for many years, assisting the Homeless Population. Melsys has over 10 years of experience in the management of hospitality personnel. She enjoys being part of the family-oriented environment in Home Care Assistance and looks forward to excel in the recruiting and retention of great caregivers in Lee and Collier counties to serve our precious aging population.
